PEBEO PORCELAINE 150 - 45ML Gloss Pastel Colours - Lavender Blue No: 52
Pebeo Porcelaine 150
is a professional-grade, water-based paint range designed for decorating heat-stable surfaces like porcelain, china, bisqueware, glazed earthenware, and glass. It mimics the look of true glazed ceramics without requiring a kiln.
- Enamelled Finish: Colors become deep, brilliant, and glossy after baking.
- Heat-Fixed Durability: Resistant to dishwashers, microwaves, and UV light once baked.
- Intermixable: All 46 colors (including metallic, shimmer, and pastel) can be blended to create custom shades.
Quick Usage Tips
- Stir Well: Always stir mediums with a stick before use to ensure the formula is properly mixed.
- Avoid Water: While the paints are water-based, do not use water to thin them if you want to maintain professional dishwasher resistance; use the dedicated Porcelaine 150 Thinner instead.
- Blending: All mediums are fully intermixable with the 45ml pots and markers

Application & Baking Process
- Preparation: Degrease the surface using alcohol or soapy water to ensure proper adhesion.
- Painting: Apply using brushes, sponges, or stencils. Errors can be corrected with water or alcohol before firing.
- Air Dry: Let the piece dry for a full 24 hours.
- Baking: Place in a cold domestic oven. Heat to 150°C (300°F) and bake for 35 minutes.
- Cooling: Leave the item in the oven to cool completely before removing
- Food Safety: While the formula is non-toxic, it is not food-safe. Manufacturers advise decorating only surfaces that do not come into direct contact with food or lips, such as the rim of a plate or the outside of a mug.
For purely decorative items that won't be washed, you can skip baking and let the paint air dry for 72 hours.

The Pebeo Porcelaine 150 range includes several specialty mediums that allow you to modify the finish, transparency, and flow of your paints while maintaining their durability after baking.
Specialty Mediums
- Glossy Medium: Used to create lighter, more transparent tones. It maintains the paint's original brightness and gloss without thinning the consistency.
- Matt Medium: Adds a flat, non-reflective finish to the typically glossy colors. Mix a few drops into your color before application to achieve a velvet-like effect.
- Thinner (Diluant): Increases the fluidity and "open time" of the paint, making it easier to work with for long strokes or retouching. It reduces viscosity without lessening the paint's final durability or color intensity.
