Red Stoneware with Grog R 2505 - is a stoneware clay suitable for a wide range of applications.
 
Excellent for slabbing and sculpting medium to large pieces.
This strong body contains 25% grog with particle size up to 0.5mm.
Colours range from pale terracotta to plum.
Max firing temp 1200C
 
Firing Colour - light red - dark red.
Recommended Firing Temperature Range:  1000 ° C - 1200 ° C.
Chamotte: 25% with 0 - 0.5 mm grain.
 
Total shrinkage at 1080C 12%. At 1180C 14%
Water absorption 1080C 7%. At 1180C 2.5%
Absorption below 5% is usually deemed suitable for outdoor sculptures.
