Vitroblanc is a low-sintering, white- to cream-firing stoneware body used in ceramics for plastic forming methods like throwing and handbuilding. A key quality is its ability to achieve low water absorption (sintering) at relatively low temperatures for a stoneware, typically around 1100°C.

Firing Characteristics:
Recommended Firing Temperature: 1000°C to 1100°C.
Firing Color: Fires to a white or cream color.
Sintering: It is known for being early or low sintering, achieving a water absorption of less than 1% at 1100°C, a quality often associated with mature stoneware.
Fired Shrinkage: Approximately 7.5% at 1100°C.
 
Working Properties:
Forming Methods: Suitable for plastic forming methods and casting. This includes throwing (on a potter's wheel) and handbuilding.
Plasticity: Described as having "very pleasant plasticity," which makes it easy to work with.
Grog: Generally available without grog (ungrogged), which contributes to a smooth finish.
Unfired Properties: Exhibits a wet-to-dry shrinkage of around 6.0%.
 
Suitability:
It is a professional-quality clay suitable for ceramists and serial producers.
Stoneware products made from Vitroblanc are generally dishwasher and microwave safe after correct firing
